COUNTRY SINGER, JOEY FEEK DIES AT THE AGE OF 40 AFTER BATTLING CERVICAL CANCER

Country singer, Joey Feek, one half of the Country music duo, Joey + Rory passed away on Friday, 4th March at the age of 40 after battling cervical cancer for two years.
Joey died at home in Indiana, her manager, Aaron Carnahan said.

Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2014 and despite several surgeries, radiation treatments and chemotherapy, the cancer continued to spread and by last fall her husband, Rory Feek wrote in a blog post that they have decided to stop further treatments and Joey was checked into a hospice to be taken care of.

In announcing his wife, Joey's death, Rory wrote an emotional post on Friday,

"My wife's greatest dream came true today. She is in Heaven".

Joey and Rory have a two year old daughter together, Indiana.

May Joey's gentle soul rest in peace.
