EX-US MISSIONARY, MATTHEW LANE DURHAM SENTENCED TO 40 YRS IN JAIL FOR ABUSING KENYAN ORPHANS

EX-United States missionary, Matthew Lane Durham, 21, has been sentenced to 40 years in jail by a United States Court for sexually abusing children at an orphanage in Kenya.
Durham worked as a volunteer at Upendo Children's Home in Nairobi, Kenya between April and June 2014 and targeted the orphans in the Home thereby committing the most heinous crimes against vulnerable victims.

Durham claimed he was innocent of the charges but was sorry that the accusations had damaged the orphanage.

Durham who fled to his parents home in the United States once the accusations surfaced in Kenya was ordered to pay restitution to the amount of $15,863.
