THREE KIDNAPPED STUDENTS FROM BABINGTON MACAULAY JUNIOR SEMINARY SCHOOL, IKORODU RESCUED

Three students who were kidnapped from Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary, Ikorodu last week have been rescued and no ransom was paid.
Gunmen stormed the school which is located in Agunfoye-Lugbusi village in Ikorodu on Monday, February 29 around 8pm and abducted three girls living as boarders and demanded for ransom in order to release them.

A member of the gang who took part in the abduction was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Poilice Special Intelligence Response team led by CSP Abba Kyari and Lagos State Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja when he left the gang's hideout in Adamawa forest in Arepo, Ogun State off Ikorodu.

Following the arrest of one of the gang members intense pressure was mounted on the others to release the girls which yielded fruit.

The rescued school  girls are said to be currently with the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni.
