EBOLA RESURFACES IN LIBERIA, INDEX CASE DEAD

Authorities in Liberia have confirmed that a swab from a 30 year old woman who is dead confirmed that she died from the Ebola virus.
Tolbert Nyensuah, Head of Liberia's Ebola Response Team confirmed that the woman died on arrival at the Redemption Hospital in the densely-populated New Kru Town suburb.

The authorities are investigating the source of the latest case as this is the first case since Liberia was declared Ebola free for the third time in January.

Nyensuah said that over the past few months, authorities have been testing every corpse to determine whether the death is as a result of Ebola.

Liberia had taken extra steps to close its border with Guinea where seven people have already died from the disease in recent times.
