WHAT IS FASHION INVASION?

Fashion Invasion Campus Edition Season1is a Nationwide University talent

scouting program that galvanizes Nigerian youth talent in Fashion, Photography, Makeup, and Modelling, and inspiring them towards a career in related industries outside the four walls of the University. Fashion Invasion will give them first hand mentorship.

Insight: The Youth in Nigeria make a staggering 60% of Nigeria’s population today.

With the entertainment industry on the rise, we are seeing more graduates in other fields taking up careers in entertainment and its related fields. This they do based on self believe, and the intent to make it to the mainstream and acquire a name for themselves. Many of them fail due to unavailability of requisite skills and support thereby get frustrated, becoming a burden to their families, friends and the general society.

With Fashion Invasion, we are taking the required skill and support needed to excel in the entertainment industry to them right at their university of study. They will have access to leading industry figures, get their portfolio reviewed, and have a first shot at the industry in real time, whilst harnessing their natural talent.

HOW  TO PARTICIPATE

SKETCH:

Show interest by sending your idea in any of the four different categories.

(Fashion design, Modelling , Photography and Make-up).

AUDITION:

A selected panel of industry experts will look through and pick a shortlisted number of ideas.

The selected candidates will attend a One day mentorship program/ course on campus.

QUALIFY:

Participants will put the skill learnt from the mentorship program into work as they will have the opportunity to exhibit their talent on a creation guided by the experts. Participants will now go head to head with fellow students for the grand prize.

WIN:

As a winner, you will get a combination of industrial attachment programs with these experts as they mentor you and show you the business of the art. You will also have special cash prizes offered by these experts.

WHAT DO SUCCESSFUL WINNERS GET?

Winners will get up to 6 months internship programs in leading studios of related industry experts in the Fashion, Makeup, Photography and Runway Modeling industry. This will be coupled with cash prizes.
