The President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba while speaking to newsmen on Wednesday, 6th April, during the Central Working Committee meeting of the coongress disclosed that NLC will soon organize a one day warning strike.
The proposed strike is as a result of the lingering fuel crisis and the refusal of the federal government to reduce electricity tarrif.
No date has been set for the strike.
The situation currently in Nigeria is an embarrassment to citizens of Nigeria. A country that is so blessed with oil, but the citizens are living like medieval times.
There is currently shortage of petrol, Cars queue up for a minimum of eight hours just to get their cars filled with fuel.
There is virtually no electricity especially in commercial city of Lagos. Citizens cannot find the fuel to power their generators, no electricity to power the inverters so what is seen is people in perpetual darkness carrying candles and torchlight like olden days.
The question on the citizens' lips are 'Is Nigeria a failed nation?'
