Republican Presidential candidate, Donald Trump was on Friday rescued from a stalled elevator that stuck between the first and second floors of a resort according to a statement by Colorado Springs Fire Department.
The department says it was called around 1.30pm on Friday to rescue 10 people including Donald Trump who were trapped inside an elevator at The Mining Exchange, a Wyndham Grand Hotel and Resort.
The statement says the top elevator hatch was opened by firefighters and subsequently a ladder was lowered into the elevator which Trump and others used to climb out of the elevator to the second floor.
No injuries were recorded.
An attorney, Perry Sanders Jr. who co-owns the hotel said Trump's security took control of the elevator during the event.
The technicians to the company incharge of servicing the elevator determined that the elevator got stuck because someone had turned the manual key on while the car was in motion.
The elevator has been repaired.
According to Associated Press, The Trump Campaign confirmed the incidence but gave no details.
