UPDATE: PARENTS OF ISIS HOSTAGE KAYLA MUELLER STILL HOPEFUL THAT SHE IS ALIVE

Parents of Kayla Mueller , the hostage said by ISIS militants to have been killed by Jordanian air strike have issued a statement on Friday saying that they are still hopeful that she is alive and are asking the group to contact them.

Their statement reads in part:

"You told us that you treated Kayla as your guest, as your guest her safety and well being remains your responsibility. Kayla's mother and I have been doing everything we can to get her released safely. At this time we ask you who are holding Kayla to contact us privately"

Kayla's parents have been doing everything to keep her name out of the media until now.
