Flying Eagles beat the host nation Senegal in the finals of the 19th edition of the CAF African Under 20 to become African champions. Flying Eagles beat Senegal at the opening games two weeks ago by a goal agregate of 3-1 and beat them again on Sunday at the finals by 1-0 to win their seventh continental title. The winning goal for the Flying Eagles was scored by Bernard Bulbwa who flicked the ball over his head with a backheel and volleyed the ball into the back of the net from outside the area during the first half.
To become the champions, Flying Eagles beat Congo 4-1, drew 2-2 with Ivory Coast and beat Ghana's Black Satellites 2-0 in the semi-finals.
Senegal on the other hand, to the reach the finals, they lost in the opening game to Flying Eagles 3-1, drew 1-1 with Ivory Coast, beat Congo 3-2 and also beat Mali by 2-1.
