NIGERIA ELECTION: EARLY RESULTS RELEASED BY INEC SHOW A CLOSE RACE

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has so far released results of nine regions in the presidential election held in Nigeria. 

The results released so far show a very tight race.

All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari has so far won in 5 states with total votes of  2,302,978

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Goodluck Jonathan has won in 4 states with total votes of 2,322,734.

PDP is in the lead with total votes of 19,756 votes.

These are the states won by the two major parties as announced by INEC

PDP- ENUGU, FCT, EKITI , NASARAWA

APC- OYO, OGUN, ONDO, KOGI, OSUN
