PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN AND BUHARI SIGN A SECOND PEACE ACCORD

President Goodluck Jonathan and the All Progressives Congress(APC) Presidential Candidate, Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday signed a peace accord initiated by General Abdulsalam Abubakar, the Chairman of the National Peace Committee.

This is the second time the two leading contestants in Saturday's Presidential elections are signing the peace accord, the first being on January 14th, 2015.
Both candidates agreed to ensure peace before, during and after the elections and the candidates will accept the verdict in an election which has been predicted will be a photo-finish according to the polls.
The peace accord  signing ceremony was held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The question many Nigerians including Dele Momodu, Publisher of Ovation Magazine are asking is that they are hoping that the ceremony was not just for the photo and that leaders of the different parties will ensure that their supporters do not engage in violent acts before, during and after the elections.
Riots already erupted on Thursday in several parts of Lagos.
