PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN SAYS HE IS HOPEFUL THAT BOKO HARAM WILL BE DEFEATED IN A MONTH

President Goodluck Jonathan in an interview with BBC, said Boko Haram is getting weaker by the day and that hopefully within a month, all territories seized by Boko Haram militants  will be taken from them.

In an exclusive interview with BBC's Will Ross in Abuja, President Goodluck Jonathan said, "I'm very hopeful that it will not take us more than a month to recover the old territories that hitherto have been in their (Boko Haram's) hands"

President Goodluck Jonathan however, conceded that initial response to Boko Haram threat by the security forces was slow.

Earlier this week, the military in Nigeria reported successes in recapturing urban centres seized by Boko Haram militants in Yobe and Adamawa States and promised to liberate Borno State, the birth Place of Boko Haram very soon.
