KENYA HOLDS EASTER CEREMONIES TO MOURN VICTIMS OF GARISSA UNIVERSITY ATTACK


Easter ceremonies were held throughout Kenya on Sunday to mourn the victims of  Al Shabab attack on Garissa University College.

Kenya is holding three days mourning for the 148 victims.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has vowed to respond in the severest way possible to the attack.

Meanwhile one of the four gunmen has been identified as Abdirahim Abdullahi the son of a government official who had reported his son missing earlier to security officers and was helping the police to trace him until the Garissa attack. The government official is a local chief in Mandera County in the north-east of Kenya. Abdirahim Abdullahi studied Law in Nairobi.

Pope Francis on Sunday used the traditional Easter message to pray for the victims of Garissa attack.
