MODEL TAKES TO CATWALK IN A WHEEL CHAIR

31 year old Gemma Flanagan from Liverpool worked as an air hostess with British Airways and part-time model for catalogues and fashion shows until she was diagnosed in 2011 with an illness that left her unable to walk.

Gemma was diagnosed with Guillain- Barre Syndrome, a condition that affects the nervous system. She spent 7 months in rehab learning to speak, write and walk again.

Of late Gemma has found it harder to walk with crutches and relies on a wheelchair.
She wheeled herself down the catwalk at a London fashion event recently.
