PILOT ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING KNIVES AT HEATHROW

A pilot,61, with Cathay Pacific due to fly 262 passengers from London to HongKong has been arrested on Saturday for allegedly possessing knives.
The pilot was arrested one hour before his flight was to take off from Heathrow.
The weapons were found during a search of flight crew staff.
He is currently on bail until next month. No alternative crew were available so passengers had to wait till Sunday to fly.
Cathay Pacific spokeswoman apologised for the delay and inconvenience to the 262 passengers booked on the flight.
Passengers were assisted with overnight accommodation and alternative flight.
Officers are investigating the find.
