ZULU KING APPEALS FOR END OF XENOPHOBIA

South African Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini whose comments are said to have allegedly fuelled the attacks on migrants living in South Africa addressed thousands in a stadium in eastern city of Durban.
However, reports from South Africa say African diplomats were jeered at during the rally called by the Zulu king to tackle xenophobia.
Jewish and muslim clerics who recited prayers were booed at.
Speakers at the rally including South African Zulu Chief, Mangosuthu Buthelezi said that people from other African countries are welcome to South Africa.
Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini said at the rally,
"There are many insults aimed at me. But as your king I order you to calm down. The zulus can't be seen as criminals"
The Zulu king denies fuelling the attacks and says,
"If it is true that I said people must take up arms, the whole country would be in ashes by now".
