INDONESIAN FISHERMEN ALLEGEDLY ASKED NOT TO RESCUE MIGRANTS ANYMORE

Fishermen in Indonesia province of Aceh have allegedly said they have been told by officials not to rescue any more migrants from boats even if they were drowning.
Over 700 Bangladeshis and Rohingyas from Myanmar were rescued by Aceh fishermen last week bringing the total number of migrants in camp at more than 1500.
Rohingya muslims fleeing poverty and persecution in Myanmar and Bangladeshis looking for work are thought to be stranded at sea.
Countries in the region are unwilling to take more migrants.
Malaysia has blockaded its northwest sea border.
Thailand has repaired its boat engines and shood the migrants away from their border.
Now Indonesia has asked its fishermen not to rescue anymore migrants.
