Following police operations that has uncovered hundreds of undocumented migrants, South Africa has deported over 400 Mozambicans weeks after the xenophobic attacks left several people dead in Johannesburg and Durban.
Mozambican government said it was surprised by the deportations and had hoped to discuss the problem with South African government.
While South African government is said to have condemned the violence that swept it in April during the xenophobic attacks, it is said to be tackling complaints that foreigners were working illegally in the country.
