MURDER CHARGES WITHDRAWN AGAINST 15 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO KILLED THE HUSBAND SHE WAS FORCED TO MARRY

Murder charges have been withdrawn against 15 year old Nigerian girl who was accused of killing the 35 year old husband she was forced to marry with rat poison last year according to Kano State Attorney- General, Maliki Kuliya Umar.
The Attorney General said the family of the victim had forgiven the girl and agreed for the charges to be withdrawn.
Mr. Umar said he would inform the High Court of the decision on June 8.
The court earlier today refused to formally withdraw the charges saying it needed an oral or written presentation from the Attorney General's office.
