CHINA CRUISE SHIP DEATH TOLL NOW REVISED TO 442 WITH 12 SURVIVORS

Rescue officials have on Saturday given the final death toll in the Eastern Star ship tragedy as 442 with more bodies recovered.
Tang Guanjun, Director of Yangtze River Navigation Affairs Administration in a news briefing has said only 12 people survived. It had earlier been said 14 people survived but Tang explained that a final revision of the figures were made after further checks and verification.
426 bodies were cremated on Saturday afternoon.
The Eastern Star ship had 403 tourists, 46 crew members and five travel agency employees aboard on an eleven day trip but capsized along the River Yangtze River after a tonado .
Search and rescue operations have ended but investigation continues says Tang Guanjun.
