EBOLA: SIERRA LEONE IMPOSES CURFEW FOLLOWING SPIKE IN EBOLA CASES

Sierra Leone's President Ernest Bai Koroma has imposed  curfews in two northern districts of Kambia and Port Loko following spike in the number of new cases to the highest level in months in the country.
The curfew is for 21 days and offenders are to be detained and prosecuted if the violate the new measures.
President Koroma in a televised address on Friday said,
"I have instructed the security to institute chiefdom level curfew and restriction on movement from 6pm to 6am in Kambia and Port Loko districts with immediate effect".
The two districts are on the route between Freetown (Sierra Leone's Capital) and Guinea border and have been the focus of recent cases.
Sierra Leone reported 7 confirmed cases on June 9, the highest number since March 24 according to NERC (National Ebola Response Centre.)
