EBOLA: LIBERIA REPORTS FIRST EBOLA DEATH SINCE MAY 9 WHEN IT WAS DECLARED EBOLA FREE

Liberia's Deputy Health Minister, Tolbert Nyenswah has announced on Tuesday the death of a seventeen year old from Ebola since May 9 when Liberia was declared Ebola free.
Tolbert said,
"A 17 year old corpse was tested positive for Ebola virus. This took place in Margibi County. There is no need to panic, the corpse has been buried and our contact tracing has started work".
The World Health Organisation (WHO) had on May 9 announced that Liberia had no new cases of the disease in the previous 42 days twice the incubation period of the virus thereby declaring Liberia Ebola free.
With this new development, Liberia is set to be vigilant in contact tracing to avoid any outbreak again.
