TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS RELEASES EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR

Tottenham Hotspurs has released Togo striker, Emmanuel Adebayor, 31, from his contract with Tottenham by mutual agreement.
Adebayor was excluded from the club's 25-man squad for the season and not given a squad number. Adebayor who has already signed as a Tottenham player this season cannot sign for another club until the window opens in January, 2016. If Adebayor wants to play football immediately he can join a team abroad.
Spurs' official website released a statement saying,
"We can confirm that we have reached a mutual agreement with Emmanuel Adebayor which will see him released from his contract with the club. We wish Emmanuel well for the future"
Adebayor was told at the end of last season that he will not make the squad in the new season and the entire summer was spent trying to find another club for him.
It has been reported however that Emmanuel Adebayor has refused to leave Tottenham unless they paid up the remainder of his contract which is believed to be about 5 million pounds.
Adebayor is said to have been training with Spurs' under-21 team after a self imposed exile from the senior squad.
