DIVERSITY AT THE SAG AWARDS AS IDRIS ELBA, QUEEN LATIFAH, VIOLA DAVIS AND UZO ADUBA WIN



Idris Elba, Queen Latifah,Viola Davis And Uzo Aduba, all won prizes at the SAG Awards which held on saturday. 


SAG Awards presented a rich diversity in the winners. This is in contrast to the Oscars where all 40 nominees in the acting category at the 2016 Academy Awards are all white.

Elba won Best Supporting Actor for Beasts of No Nation and Best Actor in TV miniseries for Luther.

Viola Davis won Outstanding Performance by an actress in Drama Series for How To Get Away With Murder.

Queen Latifah won Best Actress in a TV movie or miniseries for HBO's Bessie.
Uzo Aduba won for outstanding performance by a female actor in Drama series.
