PHOTO: LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL DOCTORS PROTEST OVER UNPAID SALARIES

Doctors at Lagos State University Teachng Hospital (LUTH) on Saturday protested over unpaid salaries and  'discriminatory tax policies'.
At a press conference, the doctors under the auspices of Association of Resident Doctors, LUTH-ARD decried the delay in their salaries by management of LUTH despite all their efforts and challenges they encounter in their line of duty.

Dr. Akinkunmi Afolabi the President of the Association said health workers including doctors in Federal Government hospitals had been paid, yet the management of LUTH has not given them any official reason for the delay of their salaries with some being owed up to four months salary.

Afolabi said members of the Association had to  once again go the undignified route of borrowing to pay children's school fees and attend to other family matters.
