SENATOR BEN BRUCE AND MINISTER OF TRANSPORT, ROTIMI AMAECHI FIGHT ON TWITTER

A serving senator in Nigeria, Ben Murray Bruce and the Minister of Transport and former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi engaged in a twitter spat on Saturday and Sunday.
Problem started when a popular tweeter user, Japhet Omojuwa tweeted that Senator Ben Bruce who usually uses twitter to air his views should not be taken seriously.

Omojuwa wrote,
"The reason I will NEVER take people like Ben Bruce serious is because when they saw a leader (GEJ) do wrong, they kept quiet. Don't be Bruce", he tweeted on Saturday, 6th February.

Responding, Ben Bruce chose recent comments that were credited to President Muhammadu Buhari where he said that some Nigerians who engage in criminal activities are giving the country a bad image.

Ben Bruce wrote,

"Your own minister spent =N=80 miilion on a one day dinner, yet it is your citizens you accuse of being criminals#IamANigerianNotACriminal"-Ben tweeted on Saturday.

The tweet apparently is targeted at former Governor of Rivers State and present Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi who had been accused of allegedly spending =N=80 million naira to host Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka to a dinner.

Sensing that Senator Ben Bruce was talking about him, Rotimi Amaechi responded,

"A coward who is not bold enough to name the minister that he alleged criminally spent N80m on dinner is unfit to sit in our senate chambers", Rotimi tweeted on Saturday, 6th February.

Ben Bruce was not going to let that lying low. He threw jabs at Amaechi Rotimi for his party's candidate losing Governorship election to the present Rivers State Governor, Wike.

Ben Bruce wrote,

"When you have been Wike'd, you become wicked! But you will always be my brother, no matter how much you transfer the anger on me", Ben Bruce tweeted on Sunday, 7th February.

Not done Amaechi responded,

"I will not respond to innuendos. Be courageous, name the minister. We know you talk  here & do 'siddon' look where you are elected to talk", Rotimi tweeted on Sunday, 7th February.
