The jury at Bradford Crown Court found Adam Johnson guilty of a charge of sexually touching the minor but was not gulity of the charge relating to another sexual act.
Adam Johnson had previously admitted to one count of sexual activity as well as grooming the 15 year old girl.
Judge Jonathan Rose has told Adam Johnson that he faces jail time and he should "say goodbye to his daughter".
Adam is currently on bail in order to sort out himself and his household before sentencing which will take place within two to three weeks and has been placed on a curfew of 7am to 7pm.
The Judge says his preliminary view of the charges that Adam is guilty of is that it was within the five-year prison sentence with a range of 4-10 years, at least there will be significant custodial sentence.
Adam showed no emotion as the verdicts were delivered.
The minor who Adam Johnson violated has said that the past year has been the hardest year of her life.

Meanwhile the underage girl has released a statement following Adam Johnson's conviction,
"I have had to face so much abuse after he claimed his innocence. I was made out to be a liar, if anything, I held things back because I didn't want all of this to come out.
"What happened in his car has turned my life upside down.
"I have lost all of my confidence. My school work has suffered.
"There are people out there who have made assumptions about me and that alone has been hard to deal with.
"I have been unable to defend myself publicly. The gossip on social media, hearing all the horrible names people have been calling me has been devastating to me, my friends and family.
"The guilty verdict showed everyone I was telling the truth.
"I feel sad for Stacey and what she has been through. I hope Adam realises the hurt and damage he has caused. I now want to put this awful experience behind me and begin to rebuild my life.
"I hope I can move on and look to the future". She said.
It took the jury nine hours 42 minutes to convict Adam Johnson yesterday. Due to his stupidity, he has lost his job with Sunderland, lost his endorsement deal with Adidas, lost his beautiful and loyal girlfriend and babymama, Stacey Flounders and will lose his freedom when he is sentenced to prison all because of lust.
