NICO ROSBERG SHOCKS THE WORLD WITH EARLY RETIREMENT FROM FORMULA 1

The reigning Formula 1 World Champion, Mercedes driver, Nico Rosberg shocked the world after he announced his retirement from racing 5 days after winning Formula 1 2016 World title.
Nico first announced his retirement via Facebook before announcing same during a conference in Vienna, Austria where he was officially crowned 2016 Formula 1 World Champion.

His boss at Mercedes, Toto Wolff said he didnot try to dissuade Nico once he told him of his plans to retire and it was a testament to Nico's character as he was leaving as a world champion.

His teammate, Lewis Hamilton said he was not surprised at Nico's retirement since it was his first title in 18 years and that Nico has a family and would want more children while Formula 1 racing takes everything out of one. Lewis Hamilton however said he would miss the rivalry.

Other Formula 1 drivers both current and old have been paying their respect to a worthy champion.
