Also in Nairobi, students took to the streets to protest for better security in the campuses as well as mourn the dead in the Garissa attack.

The protesting students mourned the victims of Garissa attack, holding placards that read, 'RIP Comrades', 'You remain in our hearts!'. The students said they were no longer willing to be at the mercy of Al Shabab terrorists and called on government to tighten security accross all schools and universities in the country.

It will be recalled that Al Shabab also carried out a deadly attack on Westgate Mall in Kenya in 2013 which left 67 people dead.
