OBASANJO CONGRATULATES BUHARI, CHARGES HIM ON REFORMS

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has sent a congratulatory message to President Elect, Muhammadu Buhari over his election as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The former president in a letter to Buhari stated that his success and victory after three previous attempts must be a great lesson for him and all politicians in Nigeria.

Obasanjo said the system was unnecessarily polluted during the campaigns and urged the President elect to be magnanimous in binding the wounds occasioned by the campaigns.

Obasanjo said a lot of harm has been done to our national institutions and Buhari has a lot to do in institution reform, education, healthcare, economy, security, infrastructure, power, youth employment, oil and gas, agriculture, external affairs, cohesiveness of the nation and ridding Nigeria of corruption.
