AL SHABAB MILITANTS BRIEFLY TAKE OVER A MOSQUE IN GARRISA COUNTY KENYA

Locals have said that Islamic militants briefly took over a mosque in Garrisa county 240 km from Garrisa town where they killed 148 people in Garrisa University College.
They preached for 2 hours and disappeared into a nearby forest. They said they were muslims and only targeting government officials whom they have a problem with. They criticised Kenyan government and warned against giving intelligence information to security forces.
Al Shabab has been at war with Kenya since Kenyan forces entered Somalia in October 2011 to flush out the militants.
They have staged many attacks including the shopping mall attack which left 67 dead in 2013,  Garrisa University attack which left 148 people dead.
