The trust fund will be only available to Lagosians and those resident in Lagos. It is an instrument to galvanise the creative and innovative energies of Lagosians according to Ambode.
Lagos State government will commit 6.25 billion naira every year within the next 4 years making it a total of 25 billion naira for the Employment Trust Fund.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Finance has been directed by Governor Ambode to transfer the sum of 6.25 billion to the Employment Trust Fund immediately.
Ambode charged the Chairman and members of the Employment Trust Fund to hit the ground running so that every Senatorial Zone of the State feels the positive impact of the Fund. The Fund must be evenly spread across the Lagos State, Ambode said.
Ambode implored on corporate organisations, multi-lateral agencies, high networth individuals to join government's efforts in turning the fortunes of youths of the state around thereby energising the economy.
The members of the Employment Trust Fund were chosen based on their track records of professional integrity and selflessness and they are,
